Bio Gas

What is bio gas?

Bio gas typically refers to a mixture of different gases produced by the breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Technically, bio gas can be produced from any type of organic materials.
Technically, bio gas primarily consists of methane (CH4) , Carbon Dioxide (C o2), small amount of  Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), Ammonia ( NH3),  Moisture, oxygen, and  other trace gases.
Depending on the type of  substrate Methane content in the produced bio gas  fluctuates between  50% and 70% .The second most abundant content  Carbon Dioxide(Co2)  makes up between 30% and 45% of bio gas.
Placement of scrubbing unit on the line increases calorific value of the bio gas. This mostly done for the generation of Electricity using bio gas generator.
The following are the real sources of BIO WASTE. Anaerobic Chamber(Bio gas plant) is required to collect the bio gas produced from the bio waste materials.

  • FOOD WASTE                           :      CANTEEN, HOSTELS , HOSPITALS,FACTORY
  • CENTRALISED KITCHEN           :      CATERING SERVICES AND   FUCTIONAL HALLS.
  • BAKERY                                      :       WASTE PRODUCTS, WASHING WATER.
  • RETREAT CENTERS                   :     TEMPLES, CHURCHES ,
  • DAIRY FARM                             :      COWS, CATTLES, ELEPHANTS
  • POULTRY FARM                                        :       CHICKEN  EXCRETA ,CHICKEN & DUCK DRESSING WASTE
  • PIG FARM                                   :    PIG’S EXCRETA, UNUSED FOOD WASTE.
  • AGRICULTURAL WASTE          : PLANT MATERIALS, GREENWASTE,DRIED LEAVES
  • TOILET WASTE                         :      PUBLIC AND PVT TOILETS IN INSTITUTIONS
  • SLAUGHTER HOUSE               :      MARKET PLACCES, PRIVATE PLACES
  • HOSPITAL BIOLOGICAL TISSUES & BLOOD   :   PLACENTA AND DELIVERY MASSES.
  • INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER TREATMENT    :  BIO WASTE WATER DURING THE PROCESS.
  • SEWAGE WATER                     :     PUBLIC AND PRIVATE.
